My Forum was the site of another allegation of grotesqueries with fetuses. I'll bring you the story that was posted, and information about what to do if you hear stories like this in your area.

When you hear of incidents at your local abortuary, you have several choices:

Of course, I recommend the last option: find out what happened.

Investigating allegations like this isn't very difficult; it just takes a little time.

The first step is to make a few phone calls. Call around and find out what the laws and regulations are regarding disposal of fetuses in the area where the clinic is. Find out what agency is in charge of keeping track of these things. Find out if they've had a complaint, if they've done an investigation. And if they haven't been contacted, give them as much information as you can so that they can investigate.

Then ask for copies of any reports relating to the allegation and investigation. It's as simple as that.

Don't be put off because you don't know who to call. Start with a local prolife group if you don't know where else to begin. Contact the county or state health department. Call your state representative. Keep a list of who you called and what they told you, along with the names of each person. If one person doesn't have any information, ask that person who might know.

That's all there is to it. Just dialing the phone, asking questions, and dialing the phone again. Eventually you'll end up with a copy of whatever documents there are relating to the allegations. You might be able to verify the allegations, or disprove the allegations. You might end up with an "inconclusive" -- but you'll at least have alerted the proper authorities that there might be something fishy going on at the local abortion mill.

When you have all your documents handy, post the relevant information on a Web site (you can get one free at About!), along with information a visitor might need to verify your information. Presto! You've exposed an abuse, or ended an unfounded rumor.

Then, of course, let me know about it!
