Abortion and Breast Cancer

Janet Daling's controversial study was hardly the first to find a link between abortion and breast cancer. Researchers all over the world had noticed the link long before it got any real publicity.

In the 1990's, endocrinologist Joel Brind began publicizing the abortion/breast cancer link. To say he was vilified for his efforts is an understatement. However, Dr. Brind has doggedly persisted in trying to get the word out. With 1.5 million abortions a year, even a small increase in risk translates to a large number of women facing breast cancer unnecessarily.
